Belgian experimentalist and ambient veteran Dirk Serries returns to Midira Records with the first solo album in our catalogue, after working together with us quite frequently on collaboration records like Scatterwound, TONUS or the Trio records with Tomas Järmyr & Erik Havnes or Aidan Baker & N.

Fluctuation Of Being is the first solo ambient album by Dirk Serries since his critically-acclaimed last solo record Epitaph in 2018. This album is a continuation of his trademark "vintage" ambience on the electric guitar, performed and recorded real-time with the help of a handful of pedal effects.

Music he once created under the pseudonym Vidna Obmana with synths, sampler and various ethnical instruments for more than decades (1984-2007). Fast forward to 2023 and here’s his classic ambient music again, stripped down to five guitar drones.
