Ran Slavin, an acclaimed multi-disciplinary artist and musician, continues to push the boundaries of his sound oeuvre in his 18th album New Dawns. Known for his experimental approach to sound composition, in New Dawns Slavin blends acoustic, ambient and leftfield electronica, creating a genre-defying hybrid. New Dawns showcases a fusion of traditional instruments with intricate electronic beats, resulting in a rich and unconventional sound palette.

Mixing diverse regional elements, the album's compositions are meticulously designed to evoke a sense of timelessness and ethereal cinematic depth, inviting listeners to experience an audio canvas of diverse ranges of emotions and atmospheres. The intricate layering of different sound culture references and the seamless integration of acoustic and electronic elements highlight a music that aims to transcend genre boundaries.

New Dawns exemplifies Slavin's nonconformity, commitment and expansion to his cultural roots of exploratory music, through early clicks and cuts electronica and instrumental ambient, highlighting an immediacy and necessity for musical independence, through which he hopes to reach attentive new audiences.

Biography

Hailing from the avant electronic underground music and art scene, internationally acclaimed Ran Slavin is a multifaceted artist known for his experimental approach to both music and visual arts. His music tilts genre spanning elements of minimal, ambient, glitch, drone, and experimental electronica, often incorporating a cinematic quality that mirrors and accompanies his work in film and video installations. Slavin's compositions have become familiar with intricate weaving and layering, immersive non-linear structures. 

In addition to his musical endeavors, RS is an accomplished filmmaker and visual artist. His projects often explore themes of technology versus spirituality, human and urban nature, geopolitical dualities and the body, and intersections of the organic and artificial. His notable film, Call for Dreams, is a surreal poetic detective thriller set between Tokyo and Tel Aviv, featuring solitary characters navigating through interconnected dreams and interacting through recorded messages and monetary transactions. RS's work is heavily influenced by technological advancements, which he seamlessly integrates into his creative process. This integration allows him to push the boundaries of traditional media, creating works that reflect a blend of real and virtual worlds awarding him an honorable mention at Ars-Electronica-Austria.

Films have been selected at the POFF Black Nights International Film Festival, Camerimage Film Festival and many more.
Recordings have released on on Mille Plateaux, Sub Rosa, Cronica, amongst others.
