Imagine Dragons Release Album "Reflections" with Unreleased Demos

Imagine Dragons have released "Reflections," an album featuring 14 unreleased demo tracks. These songs were recorded during the creation of their "Smoke + Mirrors" album, which was released almost exactly ten years ago, on February 17, 2015.

However, fans have noticed that not all the tracks on "Reflections" actually originate from the "Smoke + Mirrors" era, despite the album being marketed as such. For example, the song "Strange Ways" appeared on a Twitch stream by lead singer Dan Reynolds back in 2019. "The Journey" seems to be more aligned with the "Mercury – Act 1" era (2021), and "Mayday" even dates back to 2009, when Imagine Dragons were just starting out. On the other hand, musicians often keep ideas for years and rework them many times. It's possible that these songs could have ended up on "Smoke + Mirrors," but they simply surfaced earlier or later.

In discussions about "Reflections," fans expressed disappointment that Imagine Dragons didn't include "C'est La Vie," "I'm Over It," "I've Just Begun," "Stars," and "Work For It." At the same time, many have praised the tracks "Black," "Destroyed," "The Ghost Intervention," and "Woke," especially the first two.

Imagine Dragons' latest album, "Loom," was released less than a year ago, in June 2024. It was the band's first work recorded as a trio. Drummer Daniel Platzman left Imagine Dragons, initially taking a break in 2023 and then departing permanently in 2024. The album didn't achieve exceptional success, peaking at only number 22 on the Billboard 200. However, it received decent reviews from critics, although Imagine Dragons were often criticized in music publications in the past.

It has also been revealed that Imagine Dragons' song "Children of the Sky" will be broadcast from the Moon on February 26th, making it the first track to receive this honor. The band recorded "Children of the Sky" in 2023 for the game Starfield.
