Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco Unveil Album «I Said I Love You First»

Selena Gomez & Benny Blanco’s New Album Release

Selena Gomez, now 32, and her fiancé, 37-year-old music producer Benny Blanco, have launched their joint album «I Said I Love You First». Alongside it comes the music video for «Younger and Hotter Than Me», where Gomez channels a wistful mood on a film set.
Finneas O’Connell, Billie Eilish’s brother and creative partner, lent his talents to «Younger and Hotter Than Me». In the track, Gomez reflects on her showbiz journey, including her early years. She first graced screens at ten in «Barney & Friends» (1992–2010), then shot to fame at 15 as Alex Russo in «Wizards of Waverly Place» (2007–2012). Sharp-eyed fans might spot echoes of the show’s sets in the video’s backdrop. Others have praised its refined aesthetic, drawing parallels to Lana Del Rey’s visual flair.

The album «I Said I Love You First» boasts 14 tracks, including previously released singles like «Scared of Loving You», «Sunset Blvd», and «Call Me When You Break Up» featuring Gracie Abrams. Beyond Abrams and Finneas, the record showcases Charli XCX, GloRilla, Cashmere Cat, and Dylan Brady of 100 gecs. Notably, it revisits «I Can’t Get Enough», a 2019 collab with Gomez, Blanco, J Balvin, and Tainy.

This marks Gomez’s first album in five years and her biggest release in four. Lately, she’s been drawn more to acting, appearing in 2024’s «Emilia Pérez» and the fourth season of «Only Murders in the Building». The fifth season is already in the works, though a premiere date remains under wraps.
