Lana Del Rey has unveiled her latest single, “Henry, Come On,” a hushed, wistful ballad steeped in her signature style. This time, her voice drifts higher and softer, lending the track an ethereal fragility.

Del Rey co-wrote “Henry, Come On” with Luke Laird, an American musician and producer known for his work with country heavyweights like Blake Shelton and Carrie Underwood. Drew Erickson, who previously collaborated with Del Rey on her albums “Blue Banisters” (2021) and “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd” (2023), also contributed to the track’s creation.

“Henry, Come On” serves as the lead single for Del Rey’s forthcoming album, “The Right Person Will Stay,” set for release on May 21. A snippet of the song first surfaced in early 2024, hinting at Laird and Erickson’s involvement. Back then, Del Rey announced her next project would be titled “Lasso,” a country-inspired record slated for a fall release. As is often the case with the singer, plans evolved. By October 2024, she shared that her focus had shifted from country to southern gothic vibes. A month later, she revealed the album’s new title and confirmed its spring debut.

Del Rey’s most recent album, “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd,” arrived in March 2023 to widespread acclaim, earning her five nominations at the 2024 Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year. Despite the praise, she didn’t take home any awards, sparking an outpouring of frustration from fans who flooded the Grammys’ social media with impassioned comments. Though her influence on music is undeniable, Del Rey has yet to win a Grammy. Perhaps “The Right Person Will Stay” will finally bring her the recognition she deserves.
