K-pop sensation Fifty Fifty has unveiled their latest mini-album, Day & Night, marking their first major release of 2025 and their third EP overall. Accompanying the album is the spirited and chic music video for the lead track, Pookie.

The Pookie video has already captured widespread attention, amassing over 1.5 million views. Fans have taken to the comments to praise its infectious, lively energy, while others have celebrated the delightfully carefree vibe that defines the visual.

Beyond Pookie, the Day & Night EP features five additional tracks: Adonis, Work of Art, Perfect Crime, Heartbreak, and Midnight Special. Notably, Perfect Crime was previously released as a single, climbing to ninth on the download charts and racking up 1.1 million streams on Spotify.

Fifty Fifty burst onto the global stage in 2023 with their breakout hit Cupid, a track that dominated charts worldwide and went viral across social media. The song earned nominations at the Billboard Music Awards and MTV Video Music Awards, while iHeartRadio crowned it the K-pop song of the year. That same year, the group seemed poised for superstardom, even contributing Barbie Dreams to the Barbie movie soundtrack. A music video for the track was planned but never materialized.

Instead, the group found themselves embroiled in a legal battle with their label, Attrakt. Fifty Fifty accused the company of financial misconduct and mistreatment, while Attrakt countered with a lawsuit, alleging that external parties were attempting to poach the group. In a rare twist, public sentiment largely sided with the label after it emerged that Attrakt’s CEO, Jeon Hong-joon, had poured significant personal resources into promoting Cupid—even selling his own car to fund the effort.

Today, only Keena remains from the original lineup, having publicly apologized to Attrakt. The group was restructured in 2024 with new members, and that same year, they released the Love Tune EP. The album earned critical praise and peaked at number 11 on the Korean charts—a solid showing, though it lacked a hit on the scale of Cupid. Singles Starry Night and SOS reached 105th and 79th places, respectively, on the Korean charts. Still, Fifty Fifty’s dedicated fanbase endured, supporting the group through a small but successful U.S. tour in late 2024.

With Day & Night and the vibrant Pookie video, Fifty Fifty signal a bold step forward, blending their signature charm with a renewed sense of playfulness.
