Riize has dropped their captivating music video for "Ember to Solar," a vibrant journey that sees the group members transformed into heroes of a retro-style anime. The video has already racked up an impressive 3.6 million views, with fans flooding the comments with praise for both the visuals and the song itself. The track boasts a powerful arrangement, a catchy chorus, and an unconventional structure with shifting time signatures. Riize themselves have shared that "Ember to Solar" is packed with "bold expressions" they've never explored before, channeling their "fighting spirit" and sparking a "dopamine rush" for listeners.

One of the creative forces behind "Ember to Solar" is Kenzie, a songwriter with a golden touch in South Korean music. Having previously collaborated with Riize on tracks like "Memories" and "Combo," Kenzie also has an illustrious history working with K-pop heavyweights such as Shinee, Girls’ Generation, and Aespa.

"Ember to Solar" is set to feature on Riize’s debut album, Odyssey, slated for release on May 19. The album will also include the recently unveiled track "Bag Bad Back," introduced on May 1, alongside a total of ten songs. The announcement for Odyssey came in late April, building anticipation for the group’s next chapter.

Riize’s discography so far includes the single album Get a Guitar (2023) and the EP Riizing (2024). Their standout hits—"Get a Guitar," "Love 119," and "Boom Boom Bass"—have climbed to 11th, 5th, and 17th spots, respectively, on South Korea’s music charts. The group also made waves in Japan with their single "Lucky," which soared to the top of the country’s charts.

Currently, Riize performs as a six-member group, though they originally debuted with seven. The seventh member, Seunghan, was removed from the lineup following controversy over photos showing him smoking and with a woman. He was briefly reinstated in October 2024, only to be let go again. His return sparked outrage among Korean fans, while his second departure disappointed international supporters. Seunghan is now gearing up for a solo career, with his debut planned for the latter half of the year.
