Maroon 5 to Release First Album in Four Years, Love Is Like
Maroon 5 is set to unveil their first album in four years, titled Love Is Like, with a release slated for August 15. Fans can already get a taste of what’s to come with the vibrant new single “All Night.”
“All Night” is an infectious pop-funk track, crafted in collaboration with Federico Vindver, previously linked with Kanye West, and Michael Pollack, a frequent collaborator with Justin Bieber. A music video for the song is ready but won’t hit screens until June 26.
In addition to “All Night,” the album will feature the May-released single “Priceless,” a duet with Lisa Manoban of Blackpink. While the full tracklist remains under wraps, the album is confirmed to include ten songs. Back in April, frontman Adam Levine hinted at a summer release, a promise now solidified. Reflecting on the creative process, Levine shared:
“We’ve gone back to doing what we used to do. We didn’t worry about fitting in or standing out—we just made music that felt natural. That’s how we carved our path in the early days, when our career was just taking off.”
Maroon 5’s most recent album, Jordi, dropped in June 2021, featuring guest appearances from Megan Thee Stallion, Stevie Nicks, and Blackbear, alongside verses from Juice WRLD and Nipsey Hussle. Despite the star-studded lineup, Jordi didn’t quite hit the mark, debuting at number eight on the Billboard 200 with just 37,000 copies sold in its first week—a modest figure for the band. Critics were equally unimpressed, giving it an average score of 48 out of 100, citing a lack of originality.
In 2023, the band released the single “Middle Ground,” which failed to gain traction. Perhaps unsurprisingly, it won’t appear on Love Is Like. With this new chapter, Maroon 5 seems poised to recapture the raw, unfiltered energy that defined their early success.
