Новая серия работ французского фотографа Саши Голдберга "Познакомьтесь с моей мамой" будет представлена в Париже в Большом Дворце 25 - 29 марта 2015 года.

"Проявляются ли наши родители, со всеми их влияниями, в нас в зрелом возрасте? Поймем ли мы в один прекрасный день, что носим своих родителей с собой?"

После серии работ с бабушкой супергероиней, Саша продолжает тему семьи. "Познакомьтесь с моей мамой" демонстрирует, как забота граничит с угнетением, когда наши родители, которые вырастили нас, любили нас, со времененем остаются одни, потерянные и зависимые. Увидеть контраст в отношениях можно благодяря контрасту света в фотографии. Любовь и угнетение, свет и тень. Кажется, что главные герои не замечают наличие своих родителей, своего груза. Никто ничего не видит. Только зритель, смотрящий на фотографию, является свидетелем этой тайны. Художник стремится показать парадокс между близостью детей и родителей и, в тоже время, личное одиночество.

Любитель Эдварда Хоппера, Саша Голдберг приглашает нас в путешествие в стиле пятидесятых. Выбор этого периода, в самом сердце американского ландшафта, создает сдвиги в восприятии. Находящийся вне того времени зритель, должен осознать простую реальность и переосмыслить свои собственные отношения со своими пожилыми родителями. Серия из семнадцати фотографий создавалась в течение года, в ней принимали участие порядка 70 человек. Шесть месяцев потребовалось для подготовки, один месяц для съемки, четыре месяца на редактирование и три месяца для печати.

How do our parents, as well as all the influences that they have instilled in us until our adulthood, begin to “weigh” on us? How do we end up one day, without ever having considered it, with “our parents on our backs”?

After having made an unusual heroine of his grandmother, Sacha Goldberger continues to evoke the family in this new series, a subject which he holds close to his heart. “Meet My Mum” is an account of tenderness which tends towards oppression, when these parents who made us, formed us, loved us, over time find themselves alone, lost and dependent. The process starts to reverse. You see the nature of these contrasting filial relationships in the treatment of the light in each of the pictures. Between affection and suffocation, shadow and light. It appears that the protagonists do not necessarily perceive the presence of their elders, nor their weight. Whether it be the children themselves or the other characters, no-one sees anything. Only the viewer of the photos, like a privileged witness, becomes the observer of this weighty secret.The artist underlines the paradox between the extreme closeness of children to their parents, and the solitude of the individual.

A long-time fan of Edward Hopper, Sacha Goldberger, invites us on a voyage through the 1950s. The choice of this period, in the heart of an American dreamscape, creates a shifts in perception. Placed out of time, the spectator escapes the simple reality of the idea and finds himself directly confronted by his own relationship with his elderly relations. The author made an appeal to real parent / child pairings to pose in these 17 pictures. It has taken more than a year to create this series. 70 people took part in this project which took six months of preparation, one month to shoot, four months editing and three months printing.
