M the Myth - Pin-up Boy

M the Myth - Pin-up Boy

Electro-pop artist, M the Myth, has released their highly anticipated new single, "Pin-up Boy," today. The track, which M the Myth wrote, produced, mixed, and mastered, is a sultry and hypnotic blend of electro-pop and EDM, infused with moody, earthy tones and organic Indian percussion.

"Pin-up Boy" is more than just a song; it’s an anthem of sexual liberation and freedom
of expression. With its thick, dirty bass hook, saturated guitar-like vocal melodies, and
mid-tempo rhythm building to an EDM drop, the track pushes boundaries and
challenges listeners to embrace their true selves. The song's metallic vocals in double
time add to its hypnotic feel, grounding listeners in the energy of the root chakra while
inviting them to break free from self-judgment and embrace their truth. "When I wrote
it, I imagined Sam Smith singing it – I wanted to create something that embodied my
sexuality and sensuality," says M the Myth. "This song is about sexual liberation,
freedom of expression, and self-empowerment. It helps me believe in my own beauty
and the beauty of my body. Too often, people hide or judge their desires. In this song,
I’ve broken free from self-judgment and embraced my truth."

M the Myth, who identifies as trans non-binary, hopes that "Pin-up Boy" will
resonate with a broad audience, challenging traditional gender norms and encouraging
listeners to embrace the energy of receiving rather than aggression. "Even though I sing,
'I’m a Pin-up Boy,' I know I am so much more than any label, and we all are. This song
is an affirmation for anyone to break free from the toxic addiction to patriarchy. It’s
about letting go, breaking gender boundaries, and flipping the script."

M the Myth is a rising star in the electro-pop genre, known for their unique blend of
moody, rhythmic soundscapes and socially conscious lyrics. With a background in music
production and songwriting from Berklee College of Music, and a history of accolades
including the Stanford Alumni Artist Grant, a performance on Amazon Music's Twitch
channel, and their single “Speed of Life” being featured on Billboard’s Queer Necessities
playlist in February of 2020, M the Myth is paving the way for a new era of music that
challenges norms and inspires listeners to live authentically.
