CBZK - Dybuctwo
CBZK, a new project that fuses hip-hop, industrial, and black metal, will self-release their debut EP “Dybuctwo” on 11 April 2025.
Founded in 2023 somewhere between Sanok (PL), Bristol (UK) and Crete (GR), CBZK was created from half-forgotten techno loops, tremolo riffs and demented whispers. The result: an electronic expansion of Kopczak (Malconfort) and Fas’ (Sea Mosquito, Malconfort, Amaltheia) sonic realm.
“Dybuctwo” is a surreal take on the Subcarpathian identity in Poland, distant closeness, camaraderie, passing and death. In an attempt to dig into small-town atmospheres, Kopczak and Fas conjured up an industrial panorama of hip-hop and black metal phrases, distortions and field recordings.
The lyrics explore the everlasting tensions between resilience and hopelessness, passing and death, closeness and alienation. The CBZK lyrical realm, seemingly oneiric and allegorical, is a collage of past and present realities of Subcarpathia, weaving together personal stories, mores and regional folklore.
