An Tóramh - Echoes of Eternal Night

Black Lion Records presents Echoes of Eternal Night, the sophomore album from Minneapolis-based funeral doom duo An Tóramh, arriving on CD and digital formats on May 9.

An Tóramh (Celtic for “The Viewing”) brings a hauntingly beautiful sound that captures the essence of despair and melancholy. Formed in early 2024, the band consists of vocalist John Suffering (Chalice of Suffering, Solemn Echoes, Forever Falling, Impermanent) and multi-instrumentalist Anthony Copertina Jr. (Goatwitch, Impermanent).

An Tóramh’s debut album, Echoes of Eternal Night, is a harrowing exploration of loss, despair, and the echoes of human frailty. This darker and deeper odyssey carves out a funeral doom soundscape where catharsis and haunting dread move side by side. The music descends into the abysmal horror of grief before finding a fragile solace in the shadows. Each track is a testament to the intricate interplay of atmosphere, melody, and unyielding heaviness that defines An Tóramh’s forever tormenting bleakness.

Inevitably, An Tóramh resonates with those who find beauty in melancholy and strength in vulnerability.
