Resident Alien Season 4

USA Network and Syfy have unveiled the first trailer for the fourth season of Resident Alien, alongside its premiere date in June. The new episodes follow alien Harry, played by Alan Tudyk, as he plots an escape from a lunar prison to protect his friends from a dangerous doppelgänger.

Season 4 of Resident Alien kicks off on June 6, though the number of episodes remains undisclosed. For comparison, the first season (2021) had 10 episodes, the second (2022) boasted 16, and the third (2024) featured 8. The season was greenlit in June 2024, with NBCUniversal announcing that the popular Syfy series would also air on USA Network to draw a broader audience to their hit show.

Based on the Dark Horse comic series by Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse, Resident Alien centers on an alien who crash-lands in a small Colorado town. Sent to Earth to pave the way for its destruction, he accidentally kills Dr. Harry Vanderspeigle and assumes his identity to blend in. Over time, Harry grows fond of the townsfolk and vows to protect them from an alien invasion.

In Season 3, the hostile Grey aliens imprisoned Harry and his daughter Bridget on a moon base. Season 4 sees them breaking free to return to Earth and confront a sinister impostor—a mantis-like alien masquerading as Harry to execute a nefarious scheme. Meanwhile, the local police dive into a string of murders, likely the work of this malevolent creature.

Returning alongside Tudyk are Asta Twelvetrees (Sara Tomko), Sheriff Mike Thompson (Corey Reynolds), Deputy Liv Baker (Elizabeth Bowen), and Asta’s friend D’Arcy Bloom (Alice Wetterlund). The cast also includes Mayor Ben Hawthorne (Levi Fiehler), his wife Kate (Meredith Garretson), and their son Max (Judah Prehn). The series, created by Chris Sheridan (Family Guy), continues to blend sci-fi and comedy with heart.
