devidrums & Dj Wah - Deep Fall EP

We are thrilled to introduce the debut EP from the dynamic duo, devidrums and Dj Wah!
This collaboration emerged from the meeting of Egyptian DJ and producer Walid Ibrahim, known as Dj Wah, and Italian drummer and producer Matteo De Vito, better known as devidrums, who is based in Brussels. Their five track, Deep Fall EP, uniquely blends various styles and genres, transcending traditional labels. The music possesses a deeply organic quality, enriched by symphonic elements.

The duo fell in love with the groove while exchanging loops and samples, and they decided to create original dance music that DJs can spin, grooves for enthusiasts to discover, and melodies for music lovers to savor. They beautifully link the funky vibes that inspire them both!

Deep Fall EP showcases four irresistibly funky tracks and a remix from French dj and producer Ian ASH. The release captivates the listeners with a unique infectious funk, disco and freestyle energy. Each composition features rich textures created by live drums and percussions, complemented by live strings, rhythmic guitars and warm melodies. The deep, pulsating electric bass guitar lines and fusion keyboards add to the dynamic arrangement, beautifully embodying the essence of a live band while seamlessly integrating elements of contemporary electronic dance music.

As you immerse yourself in this delightful collection, you'll discover an engaging blend of jazz, disco, and funk, along with the influences of fusion, all intricately woven into a groovy concept style. This EP is designed to appeal to everyone, offering a vibrant musical experience that is sure to get you moving and grooving.

Junodownload Review:
A genuinely intercontinental, cross-cultural collaboration here, as Egyptian DJ/producer Walid Ibrahim AKA DJ Wah joins forces with Brussels-based Italian percussionist Matteo de Vito AKA Devidrums. The pair's five-track collaborative debut EP is packed to the rafters with high quality treats, from the lolloping, dubby and warming midtempo flex of 'Midnight Soul' (featuring atmospheric spoken word vocals from 72Soul) and the solo-laden live jazz-funk/disco fusion of 'Deep Fall', to the crispy guitars, weighty bass and heady horns of live house jam 'Inna House'. The fun continues on the late '90s Fila Brazillia style stoner funk of 'Lost In Ibiza', while Ian Ash's remix of 'Deep Fall' is a loose and languid disco-house treat.
