Léa Boudreau - Limaçon
Léa Boudreau is a composer and a sound artist, and she also designs electronic circuitry and immersive environments.
Her work has been recognized with several grants and awards in the last few years: a master’s degree scholarship from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), Dora & Avi Morrow grant and Concordia Fine Arts grant in 2021, the 2nd prize (in 2019) and 3rd prize (in 2020) at the Canadian Electroacoustic Community (CEC)’s JTTP competition, 3rd prize at the 2019 SIME competition (Lille, France), the 2019 Marcelle Award (named after Marcelle Deschênes, Faculty of Music of the Université de Montréal), and the 3rd prize in the Hugh Le Caine Award of the 2017 SOCAN Foundation Awards for Young Composers.
Her projects have been presented and performed all over the world, more recently in Melbourne, São Paulo, Montréal, Victoriaville, and Belfast.
