Blackpink May Drop New Album This Summer
Whispers online suggest Blackpink could unveil a new album as early as this summer. According to TenAsia, citing industry insiders, the release is slated for no later than June.
TenAsia reports that Blackpink is deep in the creative process, with all four members—Jennie, Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo—rearranging their solo schedules to prioritize the group’s recording. Meanwhile, Lisa Manoban and Jennie Kim are set to take the stage at Coachella, with Lisa performing on April 12 and Jennie on April 14.
Come July, Blackpink will embark on a world tour, kicking off with a concert in Goyang, South Korea, on July 5. The group plans to perform across the United States, Canada, France, Italy, Spain, England, and Japan, with a total of 18 shows lined up. Earlier reports hinted that 2025 would see Blackpink hit the road while showcasing new music. The tour was announced back in February, and now it seems the group is racing to polish a new record. A June release makes sense—they’d want the album out before the tour begins. If it materializes, this would mark Blackpink’s first project in nearly three years, following their last album, “Born Pink,” released in September 2022.
