Robert Pattinson Opens Up About How Fatherhood Changed His Life
Robert Pattinson has shared how fatherhood has transformed his life. In March 2024, the 38-year-old actor and 33-year-old actress and singer Suki Waterhouse welcomed a daughter. In other words, she will turn one year old in March 2025.
Robert Pattinson shared details about his family life in a conversation with BBC News at the London premiere of the sci-fi film "Mickey 17" by Bong Joon-ho ("Parasite," "Snowpiercer"). The "Twilight" star expected to be overly cautious after the birth of his child. However, instead of anxieties, he mostly felt only joy. His daughter taught him to look at life in a new way:
"If I was told that I was going to die in a week, I would say, 'What? I want to spend some more time with my child.' It's very profound."
Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse started dating in 2018. In March 2024, they had a daughter. The happy parents have not yet revealed the girl's name. It is known that the couple is engaged and lives in Los Angeles. There are rumors that they secretly got married in the Caribbean on New Year's Eve, that is, in December 2024. According to a source, it was a very sweet wedding attended by the couple's relatives. Their daughter was also seen – she was in a small bridesmaid dress. Officially, Pattinson and Waterhouse have not announced that they are married.
In January, Pattinson told GQ that the arrival of his daughter completely changed his social life. Previously, the actor was not interested in the topic of children and had little contact with those around him. Acquaintances who started families became for him those who "just don't hang out anymore." After the birth of his child, the actor became more open:
"As soon as you have a child, you think, 'Oh, this is so much better than hanging out with friends.' It's a huge new world! I was such a hermit. I never used to meet my neighbors. And now I often see my neighbors because I'm always on the playground."
"Mickey 17" will be released worldwide on March 7th. "The Batman 2" with Pattinson will be released on October 1st, 2027. The actor will also appear in Christopher Nolan's "Oppenheimer" – it is expected on July 17th, 2026.
