Playboi Carti has gifted fans with «Music – Sorry 4 Da Wait», a deluxe version of his recent album «Music». The expanded edition brings four fresh tracks into the fold: «Different Day», «2024», «Backr00ms», and «FOMDJ».

The track «Backr00ms», featuring Travis Scott, first surfaced back in January 2024, while «Different Day» and «2024», both with Kanye West, dropped late in 2023. Meanwhile, «FOMDJ» is a brand-new gem, hitting the internet on March 20—though eagle-eared fans might’ve caught it live at Carti’s shows in June and November 2024.

The original «Music» landed on March 14, marking Playboi Carti’s first release in over four years. Packed with 30 songs, it boasted heavy-hitting collabs with The Weeknd, Travis Scott, and Kendrick Lamar. Announced way back in 2021, the album faced repeated delays, leaving some fans doubting it would ever see the light of day. When it finally arrived, the surprise was sweet.

«Music» stormed to the top of the Billboard 200, becoming Carti’s second number-one album. It racked up 384 million streams in the U.S. in its debut week—the strongest showing in nearly a year, since Taylor Swift’s «The Tortured Poets Department». Even more impressive, all 30 tracks crashed the Billboard Hot 100, a first for any rapper in history. Standouts «Evil J0rdan» snagged second place, while «Rather Lie» with The Weeknd climbed to fourth.

Some chalk up the album’s triumph to sheer volume—more tracks, more streams, more buzz. Yet «Music» continues to reign atop Spotify charts in 23 countries, including the U.S. and U.K., proving its pull goes beyond mere numbers.
