Miley Cyrus has opened up about her latest project, «Something Beautiful», her first album in two years, slated for release on May 30. The record will feature 13 tracks, with Cyrus herself and Sean Everett—who has previously worked with country stars like Kacey Musgraves and Alabama Shakes—taking the helm as producers. The album’s cover art has also been unveiled: Cyrus stuns in a 1997 Thierry Mugler dress, captured by renowned British fashion photographer and director Glen Luchford.

Cyrus first teased «Something Beautiful» back in November 2024, describing it as a visual endeavor reminiscent of Pink Floyd’s «The Wall» (1979), but with a more glamorous flair. Her affinity for rock music is nothing new—fans may recall her 2020 album «Plastic Hearts», which featured collaborations with Billy Idol and Joan Jett. Many consider that record a pinnacle in her career.

Her most recent album to date, «Endless Summer Vacation», dropped in March 2023 to widespread critical acclaim and solid chart performance. Its lead single, «Flowers», became one of the defining hits of Cyrus’s career, topping charts worldwide, including the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. and Russia’s TopHit. The track also earned Cyrus her first-ever Grammy Awards in 2024, winning «Record of the Year» and «Best Pop Solo Performance».

In late 2024, Cyrus released the song «Beautiful That Way», crafted for Gia Coppola’s film «Showgirl», starring Pamela Anderson. Co-written with Andrew Wyatt and Lykke Li, the track has already garnered a nomination for the 2025 Golden Globe in the category of «Best Original Song».
