New Trailer Unveiled for Another Simple Favor
Prime Video has rolled out the official trailer for Another Simple Favor, a comedy sequel to the 2018 hit, slated to premiere on the streaming platform on May 1.
Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick reprise their roles as the story whisks viewers to Italy. The plot follows Stephanie (Kendrick) as she attends the wedding of her friend Emily (Lively)—only for a murder to unravel the festivities.
Paul Feig returns to the director’s chair, joined by a vibrant supporting cast including Michele Morrone, Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, Allison Janney, and more. The film made its world premiere in March at the SXSW festival, where it sparked mixed reactions: an 81% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes paired with a modest 57/100 on Metacritic.
The original A Simple Favor, adapted from Darcey Bell’s novel, grossed $97 million worldwide on a $20 million budget, setting a high bar for its successor.
