Apple Unveils a Powerhouse: MacBook Air with M4 Chip

Apple’s on a roll, churning out one gem after another. Just yesterday it dazzled us with new iPads, and today it’s the MacBook Air’s turn, souped up with the mighty M4 chip. This latest model packs 23 times the punch of its Intel-powered ancestor, though the leap from the M1 version is less staggering—still, it’s twice as fast.

The MacBook Air M4 sports a crisp 12-megapixel webcam and taps into Apple Intelligence, the company’s signature AI. Available in 13-inch and 15-inch flavors, it juices up to 50% in half an hour and boasts up to 18 hours of battery life. Oh, and there’s a fresh twist: a dreamy sky-blue finish.

“MacBook Air is hands-down the world’s favorite laptop, and today we’re giving everyone even more reasons to fall for it—think a hefty performance boost from the M4 chip, a slick new Center Stage camera, and that gorgeous sky-blue shade,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s Senior VP of Worldwide Marketing.

Memory starts at a unified 16 GB, topping out at 32 GB. The M4 chip flexes a 10-core processor, with GPU options of 8 or 10 cores.

The curtain lifts on sales March 12, with the 13-inch model starting at $1,100 and the 15-inch at $1,300.
