Meghann Fahy Hints at Daphne’s Return in White Lotus Season 4
Meghann Fahy, a standout from The White Lotus’s second season, has dropped a tantalizing hint that she might slip back into the role of Daphne Sullivan for the show’s fourth chapter. The next installment could unfold in Europe, and there’s a chance Daphne might venture there solo, leaving behind the husband who joined her for their Sicilian getaway in season two.
Each season of The White Lotus weaves a fresh tale with new faces, set against the backdrop of a luxurious resort. The first season (2021) basked in Hawaii’s glow, the second (2022) simmered in Sicily, and the third (2025) steeped itself in Thailand’s allure. Yet, a few familiar characters have crossed seasons, sparking fan speculation about which past guests might check into the White Lotus hotel chain in season four after the third season’s finale.
On Friday, April 11, Fahy’s new thriller, “Drop,” hit theaters worldwide, easing up her schedule just as season four’s production is slated to begin in 2026. This timing could allow HBO to bring her back before her calendar fills with fresh projects. In a chat with Movie Web, Fahy was asked if she’d consider returning to The White Lotus now that “Drop” is out. She revealed she’s kept up with the series, having watched the latest third season, and her affection for the show runs deep. “My gosh, of course!” she exclaimed when asked about season four. “It was an incredible experience. I’d jump at the chance in a heartbeat.”
In the second season, Daphne vacationed in Sicily alongside her husband, Cameron (Theo James), and his friend Ethan Spiller (Will Sharpe), joined by Ethan’s wife, Harper (Aubrey Plaza). The quartet survived their trip, but tensions frayed their bonds. The finale teased a tangled web of infidelity—Daphne possibly with Ethan, and Cameron with Harper—though nothing was confirmed. It was clear, however, that Cameron and Daphne’s picture-perfect marriage had weathered betrayals before.
Fans remain curious about the dynamics between these two couples. Daphne’s return could shed light on whether she and Cameron have stayed together or drifted apart.
Aimi Lou Wood, who played Chelsea in season three, expressed her hope to see Daphne back in season four—not with Cameron, but alongside girlfriends. Wood imagines Daphne bonding with Kate Boer (Leslie Bibb), who vacationed in Thailand with pals Jacqueline Lemmon (Michelle Monaghan) and Lori Duffy (Carrie Coon). Kate and Daphne share a certain likeness—both serene, charming blondes with a homemaker’s poise. Series creator Mike White might take Wood’s suggestion to heart, setting up a lively girls’ trip for Kate and Daphne. Meanwhile, other third-season cast members have voiced their wish to see the return of Belinda Lindsey (Natasha Rothwell) from seasons one and three, or Greg Hunt (Jon Gries), a fixture across all seasons so far.
