British rock icon Mick Jagger, the charismatic leader of The Rolling Stones, is stepping into the world of cinema to produce a film about jazz legend Miles Davis, according to Deadline.

The film will chronicle a pivotal chapter in Davis’s life: his journey to Paris in 1949. At the age of 22, the young musician crossed paths with French actress Juliette Gréco, igniting a fervent romance. Their fleeting yet profound connection would bind two artists destined to leave an indelible mark on culture.

Directed by Bill Pohlad, known for Wild and Love & Mercy, the film boasts a screenplay by Pulitzer Prize nominee and actress Zora Howard. The cast includes Damson Idris of F1 fame, Anamaria Vartolomei from Mickey 17, and Xavier Dolan. The project is being developed by River Road Entertainment and Jagger’s own Jagged Films.

“While much of my work revolves around music, I’ve always been drawn to the intimacy and complexity of a great love story,” Pohlad shared. “With Miles and Juliette, there’s an extraordinary chance to explore both—through the lens of two artists whose connection was as ephemeral as it was transformative. This isn’t just a story about Miles Davis and Juliette Gréco; it’s about the universal rhythm of falling in love, how it reshapes you, and the echoes it leaves long after.”
