Sekond Skyn - Letting Go

Sekond Skyn - Letting Go

Sekond Skyn, a band hailing from Forked River, NJ, has just dropped their latest album, Letting Go. This album is a unique blend of blues rock, metal, and grunge with softer moments and an acoustic tune to balance it out. The album is a open, truthful expression of personal demons, exploring themes such as emotional trauma, reflections of time, and manipulation. The lyrics are intentionally indeterminate having been crafted to allow the listener to interpret and relate to the meaning in their own way. With Jesse Shar on lead vocals and harmonica, Mark Monjoy on rhythm, lead, and acoustic guitars, Zack Miranowic on lead, rhythm, and acoustic guitars, electric ukulele, and keyboards, Brian Jennings on bass, and Tommy Spano on drums, percussion, and backing vocals, Letting Go promises to be a must-listen for fans of rock music. This is a work of the rock n roll heart, centered on the delivery of only the best Sekond Skyn believes in. Sure to become a classic solid rock album to add to your collection.

I’m incredibly stoked to finally put this album out. It was a long time in the works, and we spent many hours crafting it. I joined the band in 2016 and since then, we have been conjuring up all these incredible riffs and lyrics that finally took the form of Letting Go. Musically, the album is raw, powerful, and gets straight to it with a blend of blues rock, metal, and grunge, mixed with some softer moments and even an acoustic tune to balance out the pallet. Lyrically, much of the album deals with personal demons. Things like emotional trauma, reflections of time, and the way people can and become manipulated, but it’s vague enough to where the listener can put their own spin on the meaning. - Zack Miranowic (Lead, Rhythm, Ukulele, Keyboards and Acoustic Guitars, Electric)
