Screamboat Trailer: Mickey Turns Murderous

The final trailer for the wild horror romp "Screamboat" (rated 18+) has dropped, and it’s a blood-soaked spectacle. In this gritty teaser, a deranged Mickey Mouse—straight out of Disney’s playbook—turns predator, stalking a crew of Disney princess lookalikes aboard his ferry of terror. The unlucky passengers include hometown takes on Cinderella, Belle, Jasmine, Ariel, and Aurora.

The story unfolds in New York, where a group of revelers boards an evening ferry, eager to unwind and soak in the city’s stunning views. Their plans unravel fast as a mutant Willie, eerily reminiscent of Mickey Mouse, begins picking them off one by one. These hapless souls must band together to outwit the pint-sized sadist.

Among the passengers are Cindy and her posse. Cindy channels Cinderella from the 1949 classic, while Bella echoes Belle from Beauty and the Beast (1991), Jazzy mirrors Jasmine from Aladdin (1992), Arianna embodies Ariel from The Little Mermaid (1989), and Rory reflects Aurora from Sleeping Beauty (1958).

David Howard Thornton brings the killer mouse to life, fresh off his chilling turn as Art the Clown in the Terrifier series (2016, 2022, 2024). Cindy is portrayed by Kailey Hyman, another veteran of Damien Leone’s trilogy, where the director is already crafting a fourth installment about the murderous clown.

Helming "Screamboat" is director Steven LaMorte, with a cast rounded out by Tyler Posey, Jesse Kove, and Poonam Basu. Iconic Events Releasing is set to unleash this fright fest on audiences.

Mickey Mouse from the 1928 short Steamboat Willie entered the public domain in 2024, sparking horror spins like "Screamboat" and The Mouse Trap (2024). These projects stand apart from The Twisted Childhood Universe, which reimagines sinister versions of Winnie-the-Pooh and Peter Pan.
