The director of the fantasy action flick 47 Ronin, Carl Rinsch, now finds himself at the center of a criminal case, charged with fraud. Authorities claim he swindled roughly $11 million from Netflix, funneling the cash into a lavish spree—think high-end cars, rare antiques, and even mattresses.
The money was originally earmarked for White Horse, a series that never saw the light of day. Instead, Rinsch poured it into what he dubbed «extraordinary investments»: a plush stay at the Four Seasons, extravagant purchases, and legal fees as he geared up to sue Netflix.
