Mark Lee’s «1999, Toronto» Teaser Unveiled

Mark Lee, a standout talent from NCT 127, NCT Dream, and SuperM, has unveiled a heartfelt video titled «1999, Toronto.» At 25, the artist takes a trip down memory lane—1999 marking his birth year, and Toronto, Canada, his hometown. In this evocative piece, Mark muses on his past, wrestling with fears of dreaming big, a longing to stay true to himself, and a cautious eye toward a grounded future.

Fans are already drawing parallels between «1999, Toronto» and Frank Ocean’s artistry, noting its lush arrangements and introspective flair. Less a full-blown music video and more a tantalizing teaser for his upcoming single «1999,» it’s sparked buzz aplenty. Mark’s debut solo album, The Firstfruit, lands on April 7, and this preview has only cranked up the anticipation surrounding the release.

He’s no stranger to solo ventures—2024 saw him drop «200» and «Fraktsiya» (featuring rapper Lee Young Ji), followed by «+82 Pressin» in 2025 alongside NCT’s Haechan. These tracks are set to grace The Firstfruit, an album shaped by four cities that define Mark’s journey: Toronto, New York, Vancouver, and Seoul. Spanning 13 songs, it promises a rich tapestry of his story.

Elsewhere in NCT, the group’s been busy: NCT 127’s Walk hit shelves in July 2024, while NCT Dream’s Dreamscape arrived in November. Solo endeavors are flourishing too—beyond Mark, Taeyong dropped the «Bambola» video on March 18 and followed it with the mini-album Stunner on March 24.
