Maroon 5 Set to Drop New Album This Summer
Maroon 5 fans, mark your calendars—the band’s cooking up something fresh, their first full-length in four years. While the title and exact drop date are still under wraps, the album’s slated to land sometime this summer.
Frontman Adam Levine spilled a few beans during his April 7 chat on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Addressing the buzz about the group’s comeback, he grinned, “The rumors are spot on. I’ve got details, but my lips are sealed—for now.” Still, he couldn’t resist tossing out a teaser: “We’ve got a single coming late this month—April—and I’m genuinely pumped about it. The album’s due out this summer.”
A Look Back at Their Last Spin
The band’s most recent effort, Jordi, hit shelves in the summer of 2021, packed with guest stars like Megan Thee Stallion, Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac fame, Blackbear, and YG, plus posthumous verses from rappers Juice WRLD and Nipsey Hussle. Singles like “Memories” and “Beautiful Mistakes” struck a chord, but the album itself didn’t quite catch fire. Critics weren’t kind, often calling it hollow and forgettable. Even so, Jordi climbed to number eight on the Billboard 200 and snagged a gold certification in the U.S. for half a million copies sold.
Fast forward to 2023, and Maroon 5 shifted gears with “Middle Ground,” a soft-rock tune that turned heads. Unlike Jordi, it won over reviewers, with some dubbing it a return to the band’s sweet spot. With a new single on the horizon and a summer album in the works, Levine and crew seem ready to shake off the dust and reclaim their groove.
