Pendulum has made a triumphant return with their new single and video, «Save The Cat», a track set to feature on their upcoming album, «Inertia», slated for release on August 22.

Described as a screamo-infused anthem, «Save The Cat» delves into the emotional turmoil of two breakups experienced by band members—one that unraveled gradually and another that collapsed abruptly. Frontman Rob Swire revealed that the song was born during a period of deep introspection and disillusionment, where he found himself questioning the very notion of love.

The Australian electronic rock outfit hasn’t released a full studio album since «Immersion» in 2010. In the intervening years, they dropped a remix compilation, «The Reworks» (2018), and two EPs, «Elemental» (2021) and «Anima» (2023). «Inertia» marks their first full-length project in 15 years, a milestone that underscores their enduring influence.

Billed as Pendulum’s most personal work to date, «Inertia» boasts an impressive roster of collaborators, including Bullet For My Valentine, Awolnation, Wargasm, Scarlxrd, Joey Valence & Brae, and Hybrid Minds. The album features a hefty 16 tracks: «Driver», «Come Alive», «Save The Cat», «Archangel», «Nothing For Free», «Cannibal» (featuring Wargasm), «Constellations», «Halo» (featuring Bullet For My Valentine), «Louder Than Words» (featuring Hybrid Minds), «Napalm» (featuring Joey Valence & Brae), «The Endless Gaze», «Guiding Lights» (featuring Awolnation), «Colourfast», «Silent Spinner», «Mercy Killing» (featuring Scarlxrd), and «Cartagena».

The album was produced by Rob Swire and Owen Charles, recorded in the band’s own studio. Meanwhile, Pendulum is hitting the road, with four UK shows scheduled for May and June.
