Selena Gomez, Benny Blanco & Gracie Abrams Drop "Call Me When You Break Up"

Selena Gomez, music producer Benny Blanco, and indie-pop singer Gracie Abrams have released a collaborative single, "Call Me When You Break Up." It will be featured on Gomez and Blanco's joint album "I Said I Love You First," scheduled for release on March 21st.

Selena Gomez first performed the song at a fan event in London on February 18th. Here's what she said about "Call Me When You Break Up":

"To state the obvious, this is actually a song about a best friend in my life. Not what you might think."

In "Call Me When You Break Up," Selena Gomez supports a friend going through a breakup. Gracie Abrams plays the part of the friend: her lyrical persona thought she and her boyfriend would always be together, but it didn't happen. Gomez comforts her and says she'd like to attend her wedding—when her friend meets the right person.

Earlier, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco released another track from the album "I Said I Love You First"—"Scared of Loving You." Finneas O'Connell, Billie Eilish's brother and co-writer, worked on it. Dylan Brady from 100 gecs and DJ Cashmere Cat, who has collaborated with Ariana Grande and Halsey, contributed to "Call Me When You Break Up."

32-year-old Selena Gomez and 36-year-old Benny Blanco share more than just a creative relationship: they became a couple in June 2023 and got engaged in late 2024. The wedding date is yet to be announced. However, Gomez and Blanco have worked together numerous times: back in 2015, he co-wrote her hits "Same Old Love" and "Kill Em with Kindness."

Selena Gomez's latest album, "Rare," was released five years ago, in January 2020. In 2021, the singer released a Spanish-language EP, "Revelacion."
