Twice Tease Fourth Korean Album «Four»
Twice have unveiled a tantalizing glimpse of their fourth Korean album, «Four», their first Korean release in four years and a milestone in their storied discography. Slated for July, the album’s exact release date remains under wraps, but anticipation is already building.
Details about «Four» are scarce, but a 13-second teaser offers a fleeting peek. In it, the members of Twice stride forward in synchronized blue outfits, each skirt emblazoned with the word «Four», hinting at a bold, cohesive vision.
As is customary for K-pop acts, Twice maintain distinct Korean and Japanese discographies. This year, they captivated Japan with their fifth Japanese album, «Dive», which soared to number two on the national chart, propelled by the infectious single «Hare Hare», a top-three hit. Meanwhile, 2024 saw the group release two EPs: February’s «With YOU-th» and December’s «Strategy», the latter featuring a collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, building on their earlier work together on a remix of her track «Mamushi».
Twice’s last Korean album, «Formula of Love: O+T=<3», dropped in November 2021, a triumph that claimed third place on the Billboard 200, topped South Korea’s charts, and earned accolades from outlets like Time, Nylon, and PopMatters as one of the year’s finest records. With such a legacy, expectations for «Four» are sky-high—especially as 2025 marks a decade since Twice’s debut on October 20, 2015, with their breakout single «Like Ooh-Ahh».
Beyond the studio, Twice have been making waves. On April 17, they lent their voices to a remix of Coldplay’s «We Pray» and joined the band as opening acts for six April concerts in Goyang, a city near Seoul. Their recent solo tour, Ready to Be, spanned 2023 and 2024, cementing their global prowess: they ranked third among K-pop touring acts in 2023 and fifth in 2024.
