Weltfried & General Magic - Die Autokorrektur Treibt Mich Noch In Den Warenkorb
“Die Autokorrektur Treibt Mich Noch In Den Warenkorb” is an integrative split EP by generate and test label-mates Weltfried and General Magic. The EP comes with four quasi-stellar pieces of psychedelic audio enriched with post-grotesque electronica, obscured guitars and some well-measured rhythm 'n' noise.
Weltfried is Wernfried Lackner from the experimental improv container SWEDEK and General Magic is an electronic music duo consisting of Andi Pieper and Ramon Bauer. Since these guys first met at a kart race shortly after 9/11, their musical paths and projects have crossed again and again. Just think of the legendary data-driven audio project “gullibloon”, which Andi and Wernfried propagated together with Oswald Berthold of farmersmanual during the early 2000s. “Die Autokorrektur Treibt Mich Noch In Den Warenkorb” is the first collaboration of Weltfried and General Magic so far, however.
The “Die Autokorrektur Treibt Mich Noch In Den Warenkorb” EP presents four tracks that emerged as two logically equivalent pairs of complementary audio processing. While Weltfried produced Autokorrektur 1 and 2 based on fragments from General Magic’s sonic workshop, General Magic’s Warenkorb 1 and 2 are grounded in recordings derived from Weltfried’s guitar sessions. “Die Autokorrektur Treibt Mich Noch In Den Warenkorb” was released 29 February 2024 via generate and test.
