Rapper Doechii has released a striking music video for her viral sensation «Anxiety», a track that’s taken social media by storm. In the video, she darts through a series of rooms, as if fleeing an unseen pursuer, embodying the restless unease at the song’s core.
The hit «Anxiety» lays bare the relentless churn of living with anxiety, a theme vividly brought to life in the video. One scene nods to Gotye and Kimbra’s «Somebody That I Used to Know», with a sample from the track woven into «Anxiety»’s fabric.
Originally uploaded to Doechii’s YouTube channel in 2019, «Anxiety» exploded in popularity on social media and reels in 2025, prompting its release as a standalone single. It was also included in the deluxe edition of her 2024 mixtape «Alligator Bites Never Heal», her latest project. The song soared to the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, claimed the third spot on the Billboard Global 200, and has racked up 196 million streams on Spotify.
Doechii, who’s been making music since 2016, only recently rose to wider fame. In 2023, she opened for Doja Cat on the Scarlet tour. In 2024, she delivered a rap verse on Katy Perry’s «I’m His, He’s Mine», and in 2025, she featured on Jennie from Blackpink’s track «ExtraL».
