The Weeknd has dropped a chilling music video for his track "Drive," starring Jenna Ortega, known for her roles in "Wednesday" (2022–present) and "Scream VI" (2023). In this shadowy visual, the musician and actress share eerie moments riding amusement park attractions together.

The video also captures The Weeknd in a bathtub scene, while Jenna Ortega cruises alone along desolate night roads. The clip was helmed by director Trey Edward Shults, the visionary behind films like "It Comes at Night" (2017) and "Waves" (2019).

"Drive" is a single from The Weeknd’s sixth studio album, "Hurry Up Tomorrow," which hit the airwaves on January 31. On May 16, a film inspired by the album—also titled "Hurry Up Tomorrow"—will premiere. The movie stars The Weeknd, Jenna Ortega, and Barry Keoghan, with Trey Edward Shults at the helm once again. Given Shults and Ortega’s involvement in the "Drive" video, it’s likely the visual ties into the narrative of the forthcoming film.

The Weeknd is no stranger to the silver screen. In 2023, he ventured into acting with the series "The Idol," where he also took on roles as writer and producer. The show, however, was a resounding flop—canceled by HBO after its debut season amid a barrage of negative reviews. "Hurry Up Tomorrow" marks The Weeknd’s second foray into film, and early glimpses suggest it might fare better than "The Idol." In the movie, he portrays a fictionalized version of himself: a musician teetering on the edge of a breakdown, grappling with insomnia.

"Hurry Up Tomorrow" could be the final project released under The Weeknd’s familiar stage name. As far back as 2023, he expressed a desire to shed his moniker and perform under his real name, Abel Tesfaye. He’s already credited as such on social media and in the billing for "Hurry Up Tomorrow."
