Tony Dalton Returns as Swordsman in "Daredevil: Born Again"
Tony Dalton will return to the role of Swordsman/Jack Duquesne in Marvel's series "Daredevil: Born Again." The villain debuted in the 2021 series "Hawkeye." Disney+ has already revealed the number of episodes he will appear in.
According to Variety, 50-year-old Tony Dalton ("Better Call Saul") will appear in two episodes of "Born Again." The Swordsman's appearance in the series will not surprise fans too much. Rumors have long circulated that the villain would return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Kingpin/Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio), who was also in "Hawkeye," will play an important role in "Born Again." Therefore, it was expected that the Swordsman would appear in the sequel to Netflix's "Daredevil" (2015-2018).
In "Hawkeye," Duquesne was engaged to Eleanor Bishop (Vera Farmiga), the mother of Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), the new Hawkeye. Initially, the series hinted that he would be the main villain. Duquesne was accused of murdering his uncle. Moreover, he stole the sword of the previous Hawkeye, Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner). However, in the finale, it was revealed that many sinister events were influenced by Eleanor herself, who worked with Kingpin.
Duquesne may fully reveal his dark side in "Born Again." Perhaps he will be somehow connected to Kingpin's new criminal plans. Fisk will decide to run for mayor of New York. However, this does not mean that he will not engage in dirty political games.
According to the plot, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) will initially focus on his work as a lawyer. He will continue to solve cases with his friends and colleagues Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) and Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson). However, after certain events, he will resume his fight against crime as the vigilante Daredevil. In the battle, Matt will be helped by the Punisher/Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal).
"Daredevil: Born Again" premieres on March 4th. A second season has already been confirmed. The series was created by screenwriter Dario Scardapane ("The Punisher") and directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead ("Loki," "Moon Knight").
