"Inside Out" Trilogy in the Works: Third Installment Announced
Pixar screenwriter Dave Holstein has let slip that the studio has kicked off work on a third chapter of Inside Out. The project is still in its early stages, simmering on the drawing board.
In this upcoming animated tale, our familiar teen heroine, Riley, will step into yet another phase of life, facing fresh hurdles along the way. The Inside Out triquel will blend beloved emotions from the past with a cast of newcomers—Holstein’s betting they’ll all win over audiences in no time.
No official word has trickled out about this next installment just yet. It’s possible Disney’s brass are biding their time for the perfect reveal, even as the creative gears are already turning. Last year’s Inside Out 2 stormed the box office, raking in roughly $1.7 billion worldwide and cementing its spot among the year’s top earners.
