Jason Statham's Mutiny Set for 2026 Release
Lionsgate will release the action movie "Mutiny" starring Jason Statham in 2026. The 57-year-old actor will play a character named Cole Reed, who will investigate the murder of a billionaire.
As Deadline writes, "Mutiny" will be released in theaters worldwide on January 9, 2026. There are not many competitors for the action movie during this period yet. The most prominent project will be the erotic thriller "Soulm8te" - a spin-off of the "M3GAN" dilogy (2023, 2025). It will be released on January 2, 2026.
The focus of "Mutiny" will be on a man named Cole Reed, who works for an influential businessman-billionaire. Suddenly, Cole's boss is killed - right in front of him. Cole himself will be the main suspect in the case, so he will have to hide from the police. Cole will try to expose the real criminal. During the investigation, he will uncover an international conspiracy.
Jean-Francois Richet will direct "Mutiny." He also worked on the films "Plane" (2022) with Gerard Butler and "One Wild Moment" (2015) with Vincent Cassel. Jason Statham ("The Transporter") will not only play the main role but will also produce the project. Annabelle Wallis ("Malignant") and Roland Møller ("The Northman") have also joined the cast.
Jason Statham will also appear in the action movie "The Beekeeper." It was directed by David Ayer ("Suicide Squad," "Fury") - the director of "The Beekeeper" (2024) with Statham. The Russian release will start on April 10, and the American release on March 28. The actor should also return to the role of Deckard Shaw in the movie "Fast & Furious 11."
