Season 4 of «Invincible» Set to Premiere in 2026
Amazon Prime Video has confirmed that Season 4 of the adult animated series «Invincible» (18+) will hit screens in 2026. The new batch of episodes will unleash Thragg, the most formidable Viltrumite in Robert Kirkman’s comic universe, as its central antagonist.
«Invincible» debuted in 2021, with Season 2 arriving in 2023 and Season 3 airing from February 6 to March 12, 2025. Fans had braced for another two-year wait, but the show’s social media dropped a welcome surprise: Season 4 is slated for 2026, though an exact date remains under wraps.
The creators also revealed Thragg as the season’s big bad—a towering ruler of the Viltrumite planet. An actor has already been cast to voice this fearsome character, though their identity stays hushed for now. Leading the charge is Mark Grayson, aka Invincible, voiced by Steven Yeun, with J.K. Simmons lending his gravitas to Omni-Man/Nolan Grayson, Mark’s father.
Robert Kirkman, the mind behind the comics and a producer on the show, teased Thragg’s arrival as a no-brainer. “It’d be odd if he didn’t show up,” Kirkman told Comic Book. “The actor’s been picked, and they’re incredible.” In the source material, this Viltrumite leader looms large, suggesting he’ll be more than a fleeting threat on-screen.
Amazon hasn’t pinned down how many seasons «Invincible» will span, but Kirkman has floated the idea of eight, aiming to weave in all the comic’s key arcs. With a stellar reception—99% from critics and 91% from viewers on Rotten Tomatoes, plus an 8.7 on IMDb—the series seems far from its final fight.
