Black Sabbath to Reunite in Original Lineup for Final Farewell Show After 20 Years

Black Sabbath's Final Show

For the first time in 20 years, Black Sabbath will perform with their original lineup. Ozzy Osbourne (vocals), Tony Iommi (guitar), Geezer Butler (bass), and Bill Ward (drums) will take the stage together on July 5th for a historic farewell concert. The event, aptly named "The Final Show," will take place in Birmingham, the band's hometown. Proceeds from the concert will be donated to charity. The festival lineup also includes Ozzy Osbourne's solo band, as well as Slayer, Metallica, Pantera, Alice in Chains, and other well-known metal bands.

Ozzy Osbourne's wife, Sharon, revealed that her 76-year-old husband, who stopped performing in 2023, is "determined" to put on one last show in his hometown.

"Ozzy hasn't had a chance to say goodbye to his friends and fans, and he feels like there's no closure. This [will] be his closure," she said.

Black Sabbath is one of the most influential bands in heavy rock and are considered the pioneers of the heavy metal genre. They reached the peak of their popularity in the 1970s. Ozzy Osbourne left Black Sabbath in 1980 and went on to have a successful solo career. Black Sabbath reunited in their original lineup in the late 1990s and early 2000s. In 2013, the band (without Ward) recorded their last album, after which they embarked on several world tours and officially disbanded in 2017. Now, for one last time, the original lineup will reunite to give fans a final opportunity to celebrate the legacy of Black Sabbath. This historic concert is sure to be an emotional and unforgettable experience for everyone in attendance.
