Dinkis, Cervan - DUSH (Polvere)

Dinkis, Cervan - DUSH (Polvere)

DUSH (Polvere) is the result of a deep artistic connection between Sicilian producer Dinkis pseudonym of Gabriele Mineo and Argentine artist Cervan, released by Wout Records. It’s more than just a track—it’s a journey, one that moves beyond borders, both real and emotional. It drifts through memories, unspoken desires, and suspended moments, capturing that feeling of being caught between what was and what could be.

The inspiration comes from Dinkis’ most intimate thoughts, written in Italian on the cover of the single like fragments of a life lived between remembering and forgetting: "I remember and I forget, all at once, all at the same time."

The sound carries a constant motion, shifting between past and present, between empty spaces and silent expectations. "The body bends to the jolts of time, the mind drifts through vacant rooms, through voices that no longer speak and hands I haven't held in too long." It’s a track built on contrasts—melancholy and transformation, warmth and cold, soft echoes and pounding beats.

At its core, there’s a quiet urgency, a search for something just out of reach. "I loved the poison with the same thirst with which I now seek water. I let the warm wind lull my soul to sleep, but now I crave the frost, the sharp breath, the shiver that awakens." The music rises, shifting through layers of emotion, where the past still lingers but no longer defines.

Then there’s Cervan’s voice, slipping in with a verse in Spanish that adds to the dreamlike, introspective feel: "Llaves nuevas, mi desorden, (ella) intransitiva, (ella) ostensible." The words are cryptic, yet they fit perfectly within the track’s hypnotic flow, another layer of feeling woven into the sound.

DUSH (Polvere) floats between the warmth of memory and the chill of change, between what’s seen and what remains hidden. "The stars watch me, the moon calls me, the eyes of strangers brush past me, yet I keep searching in the shadows, in the places where emptiness weighs more than presence." Every element of the track is deliberate, carefully placed by Dinkis and Cervan to pull the listener into an immersive, almost cinematic experience.

As the song fades, it leaves behind a sense of suspension—like holding your breath just a second too long. "An unmade bed, sheets on the floor, time that no longer makes a sound. Only the dull thud of silence. Only the dust, waiting." And in that waiting, in the quiet, the music keeps living—whispering into the air, ready to be heard again.
