Jennie Kim and Dua Lipa Drop Stylish "Handlebars" Music Video

The music video for "Handlebars," a vibrant collaboration between Blackpink’s Jennie Kim and Dua Lipa, has just hit the airwaves. In this chic, slightly trippy visual, the artists weave through beams of light in the dark, singing and swaying with effortless allure.

Directed by the creative duo BRTHR—known for their work with The Weeknd, Lana Del Rey, and Travis Scott—the video pulses with a distinctive edge. This isn’t Jennie’s first dance with Dua Lipa; back in 2018, the pair joined forces with Blackpink for the hit "Kiss and Make Up." Reflecting on their latest project, Jennie shared with Capital FM:

“Working with Dua is always a joy. I’ve known her forever, and this time we really got to… Well, I’m not sure how much I can spill, but it hardly feels like work. It’s more like kicking back with a friend.”

"Handlebars" finds its home on Jennie Kim’s solo album Ruby, which dropped on March 7. The record boasts other star-studded tracks: rising rapper Doechii features on "ExtraL," Dominic Fike lends his voice to "Love Hangover," and Childish Gambino teams up with Kali Uchis for "Damn Right." By March 4, Ruby had racked up over 450,000 pre-orders and now reigns atop Apple Music charts in 19 countries. Critics have showered it with praise, lauding Jennie’s charisma, bold vision, and standout vocals.

Jennie rounds out the Blackpink roster as the final member to unveil a solo project. Rosé kicked things off with her album Rosie in December, Jisoo followed with the EP Amortage on February 14, and Lisa Manoban debuted Alter Ego on February 28. Beyond music, Jisoo stars in the upcoming zombie drama Newtopia, while Lisa joins the third season of The White Lotus (2021–present). Jennie herself dipped into acting with a 2023 role in The Weeknd’s The Idol.

But Blackpink isn’t slowing down as a unit. Come July, the group embarks on a world tour, with 18 dates already locked in across Asia, North America, and Europe.
